Co-Evolution in CHINA

The title of Danish Pavilion in the 10th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia caught my attention because I am also looking for the research of the sustainable development in a city with high density. Their research is about:

"How can China proceed with its ambitious project to improve living conditions for its population without exhausting the very resources needed to sustain a better life?”

Volker Staab's lecture

During the lunch time today Volker Staab gave a lecture about his works. He has two points of view which are very interesting and really match my thoughs about creating architecture.

1. To search the reason of form
2. Rhythm of logic

For the rhythm of logic, he thinks that architecture has certain "structure" which the different functions and atmosphere can be installed. This "structure" is actually not interested by ordinary visitors, but is quite important for the architect like him. It's like music. People enjoy the beautiful melody of music which is made by the appropriate and creative rhythm. The rhythm is just the "structure" in his architecture.
